Best Outsourced SDR Companies: 7 Firms and One Alternative

Short answer: Outsourced SDR companies supply sales development reps who prospect for you, usually by phone and email, so you do not have to hire them yourself. This page lists seven of them and describes each using only what it says on its own website. It also includes Next Reply, which is not an SDR staffing firm. We are a cold email agency, listed as an alternative for teams that want conversations without adding reps.

  • What this is: seven SDR outsourcing companies and one alternative, not ranked.
  • How it was built: each description comes from the company’s own site.
  • What to decide first: whether you need people on the phone or a campaign that produces replies.

Who wrote this: Next Reply publishes this page and is included in it. This list is not a ranking. After Next Reply, the SDR companies appear in alphabetical order. Each description uses only what the company says about itself on its own website, which we opened while writing this page. We have not tested these companies and we do not repeat review scores, client counts or results. Check each site yourself, because offers change.

What do outsourced SDR companies do?

A sales development rep, or SDR, finds prospects, contacts them and passes interested ones to a salesperson. An outsourced SDR does that work as an employee of an outside firm. The SDR company recruits, trains and manages the reps, and you pay a fee instead of a salary. Our guide to the outsourced SDR model compares it with hiring in-house.

An SDR agency differs from a channel specialist in what you buy. With an SDR company you are buying people and their time, often with phone calls as the core activity. With a cold email agency you are buying a campaign. Both aim at the same result, a conversation with a buyer, but the cost and the management effort are different. Broader options are covered in our guide to sales outsourcing.

How do you choose an SDR company?

SDR outsourcing companies look alike on a list. They separate once you ask how the work is done.

  • Which channel reaches your buyer? Some buyers answer email. Others are easier to reach by phone or at events. Pick the channel first, then the company.
  • Will you see the list before it is used? If not, you cannot control who hears from your company.
  • Who handles replies and how is a qualified lead defined? Get the definition in writing before you start.
  • Who owns the data, domains and accounts if you leave? Ask before you sign.
  • What is in the report? You want contacts reached, replies and real conversations, not only activity counts.
  • What are the terms? Read the fee model, the cancellation clause and the renewal clause.
  • Who are the reps? Ask where they are based, whether they work only on your account, and what happens when one leaves.
  • How long is the ramp? Ask when the company expects the first meetings and what it measures before then.

Be careful with any company that guarantees a number of meetings or deals. Nobody controls how your market responds. A list like this one can tell you who exists and what each says it does. Only a conversation, a written proposal and reference calls can tell you whether a company is right for you.

Before you compare quotes, price the in-house option. The SDR cost calculator lets you enter salary, tools and management time. For the numbers worth tracking once work starts, see our guide to outbound sales metrics.

Frequently asked questions

Is Next Reply an outsourced SDR company?

No. Next Reply is a cold email agency. We run email campaigns and do not supply reps or make calls. We are included here as an alternative.

Are these SDR companies ranked?

No. After Next Reply, they are in alphabetical order. We did not score them, and the descriptions come from each company’s own website.

What does an outsourced SDR cost?

We do not quote other companies’ prices here. Fees depend on the number of reps, the channels and the contract. Ask each firm for a written proposal so you can compare like with like.

When does an outsourced SDR make sense?

It makes sense when your buyers respond to live conversations, when your deal size supports the cost of a person, and when you do not want to recruit and manage reps yourself.

Can I use cold email and an SDR firm together?

Yes. Some companies use email to find interested prospects and have reps or their own salespeople follow up. If you do this with two providers, make sure they are not contacting the same people.
